Results for Year 2001

The continuing problem of excavation was finally solved in 2001 by utilizing a 100-psi, 100 cfm compressor from the U.S. research vessel Enrica to remove sediment and sand at the site of excavation. However, excavation was still limited by personnel and the tides to only thirty minutes per dive. Those parameters notwithstanding, this year's fieldwork resulted in four times the object recovery than that of the previous season.
