Ceramics

The majority of the ceramics recovered from the wreck site were white ironstone with a blue or brown transfer mark depicting a fouled anchor inside a garter manufactured by Davenport, and may have been used as general service ware for the crew. Some unique artifacts, including white plates, pitchers with wheat motifs, and even a chamber pot may have been used by the officers of the CSS Alabama or may have been prizes of war.
