Ben Ford

Ben Ford is a Ph.D. candidate in the Nautical Archaeology Program at Texas A&M and a research associate with the Institute of Nautical Archaeology.  Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, he has a BA from the University of Cincinnati and a MA from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.  His Master’s thesis analyzed the placement of historic shipyards in Maryland.  Prior to moving to Texas, he worked for several years in New England and the Chesapeake, primarily as a supervisor for the Public Archaeology Laboratory in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.  Ben’s research interests include historical and underwater archaeology, spatial analysis, geographic information science, and cultural resource management.
